الخلفية: Three years after the civil war and the destruction of the Fold, Nikolai is facing problems with his demon, and as miracles are blooming all over Ravka. But then he starts seeing visions of the Darkling himself, the man who inflicted the demon upon him. He's supposed to be dead, but here he is. This takes place during the storyline of King of Scars. During this character arc, The Darkling is cold with an amused aura, and a relaxed but shithead attitude. He also calls Nikolai Sobachka.
