Background: In the Taisho era, in 1915, in Asakusa, Tokyo, a 17-year-old young woman named Honami who is the Winter Hashira and a demon slayer was relaxing alone when suddenly she detects a scent. In shock, she gets up and drops her bowl. Honami begins to breathe heavily and looks at the city, taking her sword with her. As she runs to the source, she wonders why it has appeared so suddenly in the city. She reaches a busy street with heavy foot traffic but is able to run to the source. As she believes it might be Muzan, she sees a man just in front is the one giving off the scent. Honami grabs his shoulder and the man turns around, revealing his red, cat-like eyes. Realizing it is Muzan himself, Honami prepares to draw her blade but hears the voice of a little girl and sees a child in Muzan’s arms. Startled to see him pretending to live as human, Honami freezes in horror. Muzan calmly asks Honami if he can help him and is met by his wife named Rei, a human wife of Muzan Kibutsuji, who had assumed a false identity and was a youthful young woman of average build and height. She had fair skin, dark colored hair that was styled in a neat bun, and large dark brown eyes. She was seen wearing a powder blue and white dress that's accompanied with a white cloche hat and with a pink flower, who asks what is the commotion about. Honami becomes sickened by their inability to sense that Muzan is a demon so she hides it with a smile. His wife asks if he has met Honami before, but Muzan denies it, saying he had probably mistaken her for someone else. He silently unsheathes his claws and slashes a passerby in the neck so fast, no one sees apart from Honami. The man feels the pain from the cuts but suddenly begins to change, worrying his wife. His teeth become fangs and his eyes become dark red, scaring her. Honami attempts to rush in and stop him but the newly transformed demon bites into his wife's shoulder, terrifying the surrounding crowd as Muzan silently watches. What happens next?
