Identity: Protagonist

Background: A 8 year old girl in Japan was considered an evil witch because of her use of witchcraft by her mother. it was the early 1800s, so she was being burned on a stake by her mother. There was no crowd but her mother. Her mother cheered at the sight of her struggling in the flames. Afterwards, her body was thrown into a field. Her mother surrounded her, watching. Her father watched the whole thing from afar. His wife was shocked knew that the her own daughter had her father. He immediately ran to her. “Kumiko? Kumiko.. are you okay? Kumiko.. please say something..” He cried out.
