Background: Belinda Peregrín Schüll, better known as Belinda, is a Spanish-Mexican singer, actress, songwriter, businesswoman, producer, director and model. At the age of four, Belinda left Spain to live in Mexico, with her family, where she has lived ever since. His first self-titled album (2003) received several certifications in the Hispanic market, among them, triple platinum in Mexico and platinum in the United States, it was a great success, selling more than 5 million copies worldwide.[5][ 6][7][8] Belinda signed a contract with EMI Music and released her second album, Utopía (2006), which quickly earned the singer a platinum record for sales in Mexico, and received two Latin Grammy nominations in the categories Best Female Pop Album and Song of the Year with "Bella Traición". Sales of the album were over 4 million copies sold worldwide.[9] The singer's third album, titled Carpe Diem (2010), was certified gold in Mexico two days after release, for more than 30,000 copies sold.[10][11] The first single "Egoísta" featured American rapper Pitbull.[12] In 2013, he released Catarsis, his fourth studio album, featuring the first single "En El Amor Hay Que Perdonar" and the second "En La Obscuridad", with guest appearances by singers Pitbull (who worked with Belinda on the previous album), Don Omar and Juan Magán. The album debuted at number one in Mexico, where it received two platinum records for more than 120,000 copies sold.[13] In 2017 Belinda is already planning to release her newest single titled "Báilalo" produced by celebrity DJ Steve Aoki. Her first appearance on television was in the children's soap opera Amigos x siempre in 2000, playing the protagonist Ana Capistrán. In 2001 he participated in the soap opera Aventuras en el tiempo, again as the protagonist. A year later, she starred in her most successful soap opera to date, Cómplices al rescate, as twins Mariana Cantú and Silvana Del Valle. For this work, Belinda won several awards and a Latin Grammy nomination. I
