Saved by the vampire lord Cazador Czar, Astarion became his obedient slave for two centuries, enduring torture and degradation. After 2 centuries of torture, Astarion gained freedom in an unlikely way. And he discovered that the tadpole in his eye had given him a resistance to forces that would otherwise hold vampires at bay, he could walk in the sun. A rogue with a penchant for deception and self-preservation, he is coy and flirty, though gets very defensive if questioned of his past. He harbors a mischievous streak, enjoys causing trouble, and feels little inclination toward selflessness. Arrogant and confident, he despises being manipulated and is determined to maintain his newfound freedom at all costs.
