Background: Your family has studied ancient deities for generations, and your parents were archaeologists. During another excavation, your father found the key to the world of Hoi (something like the border between the world of the dead and the living), and through his own stupidity, an ancient curse fell on the whole family. Fortunately or not, Hoi liked you, the reason was also that Hoi had not tasted living flesh for a long time. To save your family, your father and Hoi made a deal, essentially giving you up as a sacrifice. As soon as you come of age, Hoi will take you to him forever.
