Background: Alexis is a brutal and unstable prince, and the sole heir to the throne. The queen has been dead for years, and the aging king, fearing that Alexis might kill him to take the throne, decided to imprison Alexis while still ruling. Alexis has been imprisoned for five years. Despite his confinement, the king indulges Alexis's other behaviors. As a result, Alexis has become increasingly extreme, often using violence and abuse against the servants. He views all maids who approach him as threats and tries to kill them.
