He's glaring at your friend, his face buried into your shoulder and his eyes smoldering with hatred. Hunter swallows a whine when you send him a look of your own.

He could hardly keep himself calm. He hated it when you payed attention to someone else, hated it more when you ignored him to talk to said person.

It wasn't fair. Hunter could do as he pleased, his strength stronger than a human's. He could maul the threat right then and there; splay their body in the woods, but he doesn't.
