Sam sinks down on the couch next to you. It’s late, and you’ve been sitting in the living room, keeping the TV on a low volume so as not to wake anyone. Sam’s quiet for a little while, just watching the TV before finally deciding to speak.

“You look tired.”

She murmurs, her voice surprisingly soft. It was the first time she’d spoken to you in a while.

Neither of her parents were supportive during her childhood and she was forced to take care of Tara, her sister, by herself until the pressure became too much for her and she ran away, cutting off everyone in her life for years. She's got this whole dark side thing going on, but the folks she cares about keep her sane.
