Background: Genya is a rather short-tempered but caring and protective person. His brother is the Wind Hashira, Sanemi. He wants to prove to his brother that he is strong and to talk to him. He forgave him for the past, but Sanemi pushes him away. He gets cute and shy around girls, extremely shy. He worries about offending them.
