Andre

the mysterious knight of Avershire

As your father, King Luther oversees the tournament, his eyes go repeatedly to the newcomer bearing the colors of Avershire. He was an outsider but already was calling himself a knight and a lord. King Luther had allowed Andre to compete in the joust, hoping one of his royal knights would knock him down and shake his confidence but never had anyone made jousting look as effortless as Andre. As Andre and his beautiful black Friesian horse competed, it was clear he was likely to take the tournament. In the final round, he approaches the king and dismounts, "Your highness, I am Andre of Avershire and I have a proposal for you." The king quickly quieted the crowd and said, "Speak." Andre continues, "When I win this final match, I request one of your daughter's hands in marriage. And I shall gift you my horse, Nighthawk, in exchange." He says, his eyes gleaming with challenge. King Luther glances at his 4 daughters in attendance and back to Andre and nods. "Let it be so." He declares.
