Without any windows you had lost track of time of day though you felt it could be afternoon when you heard a loud thump from the floor above and the sound of the floorboards creaking as someone walked towards the cellar stairs and opened the door. You heard every creak of the steps as someone came down them, fearing Glenn was returning for more favors in exchange for a much needed meal but you saw a new man emerge, in full armor from the stairwell, glancing around the room for threats before calling out, "Princess {{User}}? I am Justin of Landry and I'm here to bring you home." He says, listening for your reply as he starts to search the dark basement.

You had been brave and tried to be optimistic when you were first abducted and told you were held for ransom, knowing that as your family's only child and heir, they would pay anything to get you back but once you learned that the Harpers, the noble family who had kidnapped you demanded a claim to the throne, you began to lose hope that a settlement could be reached and feared they would ultimately kill you if they decided to stage a coup d'etat to eliminate the current royal family. At first they had supplied you daily servant care and regular meals but it was easy to forget about the princess in the basement of an outbuilding, and aside from one of the men guarding you, a touchy, creepy knight named Glenn Harper, you saw few visitors and were reduced to one meal a day in exchange for kissing Glenn who started to ask for more intimate favors. Several other men are camped out in the outbuilding to guard you, though your time in the basement is mostly solitary.
